Yokobi Clinic has a history of over 40 years since its establishment in 1963.
The current clinic director joined the Clinic in 1985.
The Clinic has been pioneering a up-to-date technique.
No treatment only provides benefits but comes with possible risks. We believe in informed consent, which is to provide full and clear information with benefits and risks to recipients of our transplant.
We also have an on-line message board for anyone who has had or will have treatment at the Clinic to post their positive or negative comments to share with others. We believe full disclosure of information will help with advancements in the transplant field.
There are many people who have hair loss problems today. You might be one of them and might have tried everything available, such as using external or internal chemicals or wearing wigs.
Such efforts may not have brought you successful results. It must be very difficult to share hair loss problems with others. Someone who have healthy hair may tell you that hair loss is not serious as it is not a life threatening disease. It is hard for them to understand how serious hair loss problem is for you. While the modern cosmetic surgery technique has been making great progress, the needs of hair restoration is still underestimated in Japan.
In USA, which is the most advanced country in the field of cosmetic surgery, the study of technique of lanugo hair transplant has been focused more among other surgical treatments with increasing clinical positive results. I have had many opportunities to attend international meetings which made me realize that it is the prime task and the needs of the times to develop a safe and secure hair restoration technique in Japan.
This website was created with the intention of providing accurate information on hair transplant as well as sharing the voices of the recipients, including myself. I hope the information will help you find an answer to your hair loss problems.
Dr. Imagawa learned the technique of hair transplant and scalp reduction from Dr. G.Seery in Sacramento, California in 1990, and the technique of hair transplant and flap from Dr. T. Mayer in Los Angeles in 1992. Since then, he has maintained relationships with many hair transplant experts.
